I echo Greg’s sentiments…. Bring back Teddy and the Professor……. Please!!!

We’re sticking with Scott and Anthony, guys. Y’all ought to do the same!

I really enjoy the energy of this show. If you have an opinion, send a (respectful) voice mail and we’ll play it on the air! More importantly, if you think their *logic* is not on track, I’d like to hear your thoughts on that.

  4. Brian says:

    Thank you for your response.

“I really enjoy the energy of the show”…. what about your audience?

Their is no comparison between the two shows; night and day. They seem like nice guys but they are way over their skies trying to host a sports investing show. Just my two cents.

    I hope you reconsider.

    Thank you.

You’re welcome, Brian. Thanks for taking the time to write.

The vast majority of the feedback I’ve personally received has been positive. Considering Scott makes a living as a sports bettor, he’s certainly not over his head. Anthony co-hosts a national sports talk show five days a week. Again, I’d suggest we discuss logic. Last year, Scott was 60% w/ NFL picks. They both have the credentials, no question. What is your feedback that suggests their logic is flawed? None of us are afraid of that kind of feedback.

Keep the comments coming boys and girls. I’ve been betting sports professionally for 30 years and was fortunate to place in the top ten twice in the season long Superbook contest at LVH out of close to 500 contestants. Also won the Stations football contest at Barleys years ago. Bring on the challenges, willing to go one on one head to head for the season vs. anyone for some real cash. Good Afternoon Gentlemen,

Tonality does not translate via text and I apologize if I have offended anyone but I’m not sorry for stating my opinion. The point of my email was not to belittle Scott or Anthony nor engage in ad hominem attacks.

Since you are kind enough to take the time to respond, I will add some constructive feedback.

My main criticism is that I am not really learning anything from these shows. With Teddy and the Professor, I learned something in just about every show and they were on daily, save weekends. Whether it was about specific match-ups, interpreting line movements, charting games, comparing series prices, travel info, investment concepts, etc… I took copious notes. Honestly, they just came across as knowing their trade cold.

I don’t care about the picks winning and/or losing, I have my own opinions. I would like to see more serious discussions than punchlines. Mainly, I think the show tries to be funny at the expense of being informative. Why not review and interpret the line movements during the week? Good spot/bad spot scenarios for teams? Pertinent historical H2H data? Historical league trend data? Match-up reports for the teams? Historically profitable system plays for the week (if applicable)? The list is endless on what can be done to tune up the intellectual rigor of the show.

Scott, I’m your Huckleberry. I will take you up on your offer if you are serious about a H2H contest. Please let me know and good luck with the show. I will continue to tune in but please add some investment concepts.

    Thank you.

GREAT response, Brian. Thanks for your feedback. (I’ve always wanted to be somebody’s Huckleberry. . .I think. . .which Scott?!?!)

      • Brian says:

You’re welcome and I was referring to the other Scott:) He threw down the gauntlet in regards to a H2H capping contest and I picked it up with alacrity.

I hope my suggestions will be considered.

        Warmly,

        Brian

  7. Thanks for sharing Brian. I feel we have to shy away from doing “a book report” because we will lose part of the audience. I am not opposed to doing at least one in depth educational on each show. Most people want to be entertained while being educated at the same time. We will certainly take your comments to heart and maybe as we move forward we will consider incorporating some of your ideas. Keep them coming. We encourage feedback, good bad or otherwise. Now about going head to head ATS for some cash. Maybe we could honor the LVH contest lines and go with our top five head to head for say $5000? Let me know kind sir.

    Good Evening Gentlemen,

You’re welcome and thank you for your willingness to possibly incorporate some of my suggestions into future shows. Like I said, I will be watching.

Scott, I agree to using the LVH lines as I am in the Super Contest. However, would you have any issue with doing our top 3 picks instead of 5? I feel there is too much randomness when picking 5 games.

Also, who would we get to escrow this wager?

Thirdly, while it is a possibility that you win, it certainly isn’t a probability. With that said, 5K is way too rich for my blood. I was thinking more along the lines of $500. I’m a grinder and putting that much capital at risk goes against my business charter. If I were to accept the deal at the level you proposed, I would be exceeding protocols and have an unauthorized position. It has never been about the money for me, I’m an artist and this is about intellectually crossing swords; money is just the way we keep score.

Please let me know if my proposed alterations are acceptable.

Allow me conclude my comments with a quote my favorite literary character, Hamlet!

“We defy augury. There’s a special providence in the fall of a sparrow. If it be now, ’tis not to come. If it be not to come, it will be now. If it be not now, yet it will come. The readiness is all.”

    I’m daring you Scott!

    Thank you.

    Brian

  9. Time my friend is much more important than money. You can always replace your money but you can never replace your time. I have no interest in tying up my time for 10 weeks for a paltry $500. I have been in that Supercontest at LVH three times and was fortunate to finish in the top ten two times with an identical record both years of 51-34 ATS. Last year first place picked 53 winners. The offer stands going head to head to out pick one person(you) as opposed to the 400 to 500 bettors I out picked in the contest. I respect your money management skills. This is where most people fail. I hope you can respect my time restrictions. If you want to get dialed in for $5000, I’m in, sign me up. If not, no worries either way. Three plays opposed to five is way more random. I would reiterate we follow the same format as LVH. Have a good weekend and make lots of money kind sir.

  10. Brian says:

    Good Evening Scott,

Watching the 4th Episode now. Even though it was a shot across my bow, great line about 500 for 3 will get you left at the pound; credit where credit is due.

How do you figure 3 picks is more random than 5? Why is $500 paltry if you are picking the games anyway? Many people in this world are killed for much less money than $500. You are spending way too much time inside Sportsbooks bro if you think 5 bills is chump change.

You have turned into an opponent that is worthy of me defeating but if you don’t want to continue, I am no bully and will not press the issue.

Haven’t finished watching the the 4th show yet but it already seems better. Good luck moving forward and I will be watching.

    Warmly,

    Brian
